>>41753382Unfezant is far from OU material with Brave Bird alone. Brave Bird is a huge step it needed in order to gain viability, but I'd lean more on lower tiers for being a place to shine. Of course it needs more, but Brave Bird, Facade/Return, Night Slash (Which with Scope Lens and Super Luck is a guaranteed crit on every hit), and U-Turn are pretty solid for a Normal/Flying physical attacker and can warrant slapping on a Choice Band or going straight Scope Lens for crits, it just needs a set of coverage to better deal with Rock and Steel. Plus Unfezant does have a potentially small niche it can possibly play since it can spray Hypnosis on an opponent, especially if Spore users are nonexistent like they would be in the SwSh meta, but I doubt it'd be a major breakthrough.
>>41753596That's a good way to improve the Pokemon and to allow it to carve a niche, and it would work for in-game use, but it's doubtful that GF would do such a thing. And based on what we've gotten with Unfezant currently, at least Brave Bird can allow it to actually have a reason to be used. One of the largest issues with Unfezant is that it's physical Flying coverage was atrocious and thus put it low in viability, even in PU.
