>>41753988the fan art version is honestly better, aside from having an eye that matches Galarian Ponyta's it also takes the concepts in Ponyta's design and extrapolates on them, adding the third colour to the mane, tail and other hair which gives it a more complete look, also having the hair remain somewhat blob-like in shape but having a less messy appearance works quite well in both representing its pre-evolution while also showing change in the design. The ears are just infinitely better, even on Kantonian Rapidash's design it's definitely a weak point, they should be sideways facing not forward facing. Lastly I like how the design of the coloured hair around the ankles actually looks like it wasn't just ripped straight from the Kantonian Rapidash's design like the canon design has, instead looking distinct to help separate it and to maintain flow with the rest of its design.
