Literally one of my most hated features, and I have no idea why it's loved so goddamn much.

It's annoying and breaks muh immersion when you have shit like Metapod or a miniature Wailord following you around like a goddamn duck.

If it comes back in any capacity, I hope they make it optional. Fuck this feeature.

they would have to bring it back, implement/integrate it well and add a bunch of other comfy atmosphere/side shit to redeem it if they kept everything else the same

We're on Switch, following Pokemon or Camp aren't enough.
We should be able to seamlessly take out our pokemon anywhere and ask them to follow us, ride those big enough, have them fetch unreachable items or berries, have them dig fir items...etc
