I still haven't bought or played SwSh.

Now that the shitstorm is over (I think). Is it really worth €60 or should I wait for a used copy to pop up at Game Stop? Or is it so bad that it's not even worth pirating and waiting for yuzu to fix the softlocks?

If you're not desperate to play it, wait a little longer for a used copy. The game is generally only okay. Story is pretty much the usual until a certsin point. After that, it's rushed, unfinished, and full of plotholes or retarded reasoning.

It had a ton of potential with the wild area and how nice some of the areas are. You can tell it was rushed out for the holidays.

But with as little content as there actually is, the 60 dollar price tag isn't worth it. It's like paying 60 for a tech demo that will, likely, expect you to pay 60 more dollars next year for a more complete version.

Tldr; Game is okay, borderline mediocre. Buy used or not at all.

Alright, thanks for your input guys. I guess I'll wait until I get a cheap used copy or wait for yuzu to fix the softlock issue since I'm not in a hurry to play it.

I don't know how to explain it, but after "new toy syndrome" sets in, you'll find it's kind of underwhelming for a Pokémon game in terms of journey/story.

The real highlight is capturing Pokémon, which probably wouldn't be the case if they stuck to 100% invisible encounters.

It also sucks you don't get a Beast Ball until AFTER you capture the Pokémon that feels like it could've been a UB number

Is it fun? Yes just like that applies to most pokemon games as well.

This is easily a $20 game, but because it's Pokemon the used market will make it plateau at around $40-35.
