>>41761576I've always hated Charizard for being a literal, plain mini-dragon in a game where the other two choices are a big turtle with shoulder cannons and a big frog/dinosaur thing with a huge plant in its back.
Same as how I disliked Gen 1's other boring-ass "literally just my mom's goldfish" Pokemon.
The fact Charizard's now just as much a mascot as Pikachu is rubbing me the wrong way pretty badly, though its plain-ness is probably half the reason why it's so popular; it's literally just a dragon with a little fire on the tip of the tail, people love dragons.
