This is long down the list of issues with the series, but Gamefreak should really find a way to make monotype mons more interesting to use, like give them an increased STAB modifier compared to dual-types or something. I play a lot of rebalancing romhacks and it's a bit silly seeing forced dual-types just to make the mon more useable, like Electric/Dark Luxray. Even Gamefreak gets in on it sometimes, with Mega Ampharos being Electric/Dragon because of a dumb pun. This would've been the perfect gen to do this considering all the monotypes we got.
