Also Camp as far as I can tell also doesn't use any unique animations aside from the walking ones they reused from SM, other than that it's just the battle animations.
That means that only the new pokemon had any new animations made for them.

On the topic of mega evolution they introduced more of those in XY than Gigantamax mon in SS and unlike mon like Appletun and Flapple where they share a form something like Mewtwo had two separate models.
There's no angle that you can tackle this from that justifies GF's actions.
