Of all the cuts this pisses me off the most.

Because they changed how speed was calculated and couldn't figure out how to program pursuit to work with it.

If you're in a situation where you get fucked either way then it's your fault for not being aware of how weak your Pokemon is and not anticipating Pursuit in the first place. The move is not exorbitantly powerful and isn't extremely well-distributed.

Most pokemon who know pursuit have 90-130 base power. Psychic only has like 4 physical walls outside of ubers. Ghost having 3. So yes Pursuit does invalidate majority of those mons so unless youre using a wall better not use any attackers.
Mega Alakazam could only handle a few them thanks to Focus Miss

It's still not comparable, Yata-Garasu is more like if Gothitelle prevented you from using any of your other perfectly healthy Pokemon for the rest of the entire match. None of those Pokemon are invalidated. UU has metric fucktons of Pursuit users running around, yet Latias, Mew, Doublade, Chandelure, Starmie, Froslass, Gengar, and some others are running around. Like I said, a single move isn't going to invalidate an entire typing. If Stealth Rock couldn't do it, Pursuit sure as hell can't.
