>>41776480Seriously. Why even bring up the 18 gyms in lore? It's such an insignificant thing that many players won't even hear about when playing. There is no way they genuinely thought that was cool enough to tell a games publication.
It's really just an excuse as to why the two games have a couple different gym leaders even though BW already did that and didn't need a story reason.
