This is hilarious to me. They really wanted their new ip to succeed since they shilled toby fox, and it was the focus of their 30th anniversary livrstream. But too bad, you will always be the pokemon men and now even pokemon fans are fairly divided on those game's quality - despite the sales.
The anime took a new direction too since TPC know the mobile games are more important.
