I liked Blastoise as a kid but as an adult, once I started actually making full teams in my playthroughs, I found that Venusaur had the most interesting niche.

i think its mostly childhood experience talking, i saw venusaur's stadium animations where it's eyes go bloodshot and ive just kinda always hated it since desu.

bulba and ivy are cool tho. just not a fan of venusaur.

Grass starter opinions
Gen 1: First Partner, best partner
Gen 2: no
Gen 3: Alright, mega design is great
Gen 5: inoffensive
Gen 6: Never felt too strongly about any of them except that Quilladen is adorable
Gen 7: I don't hate it but it looks like a totem pole, prefer Dhelmise
Gen 8: Bland at least starting out but the drum looks too simple and stands out like a sore thumb, thankfully, my enjoyment of anime had transferred to Scorbunny so I'll be using him
