When Smogon bans Dynamaxing it'll be officially dead. It can't even be called a Pokemon battling simulator anymore because it won't be simulating the mechanics of the games anymore. So everyone who wants to actually play the new games will move on to Pokemon Online or something and no one will take smogon rules battles seriously.
