They should've just not had an evil team or anything and just based the plot around the league. Give Bede and Marnie more screentime too. Should be a story about you and your three rivals, not just you and Hop.

Marnie and Bede just feel like wasted potential. Traveling around and battling future gym leaders who are challenging the gym challenge along with you should be a fun experience where everyone grows, but you barely see them.

I mean in the end the big gimmick that the folks of Galar love ended up being the byproduct of a big dangerous Pokemon... but then you capture it and everyone continues Dynamaxing. Doesn't feel very anti-capitalist to me, feels like things return to capitalism dominated status quo in the end.
