Sandaconda can be found as low as 3* thanks to being currently promoted but only in Sword, Appletun is a shield exclusive and can only be found as a 5* if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not quite clear on the requirements for joining high level raids but for Sandaconda at least you could theoretically join someone else's raid.

But it's an easy way to spread a single pokemon among other players, especially if they're already currently hunting something else and just want to join another persons raids instead.
Plus it could always be an HA pokemon Gmax or not which can be a pain to reset for.
We're just having some fun together anon.

Some people have spent more time looking for a Gmax than catching it by joining raids, especially when looking for one with its HA, it's also probably the fastest way to grind 5* raids and collect candies as well as some money.

The point of dynamaxing is mostly to break two shields, if anyone in the group is gonna dynamax then the earlier it's done the better.

zacian does HP damage even with shields up, you slowly chip away at lax while you break it's shields. It takes maybe 4 turns max.
