Even if they released a literal Pokémon Hallway Simulator for the next gen, people will still buy it because its a new Pokémon game with new "features" like twelve new Pokémon who look like they've just been created by an amateur 3D artist or some expanded useless feature like the currydex. In return, they cut most things that actually require effort like (designing) dungeons, some serious post-game, a real battle facility etc. People will still buy it.
