Generation at least was faithful to source material.

Origins rewrote everything about KANTOOOOOOOOO to make everything revolves around Charmander line as if it was the only Pokemon that exists.

that's not the only problem.
despite it being a shit narrative arch and development for Giovanni as a character, TR is still the only truly authentic crime organization in the series. all the others that came after were all fucking retarded. Aqua/Magma obsessed over weather and geo changes for no good reason other than "hurr more water/more land gud" and Galactic was just straight up silly about "muh space" although not equally as retarded. at least they did research. but after that it was just random TR rehashing with different coating but watered down.

TG played it straight and actually got far in comparison to Magma and Aqua who didn't know what they were doing. Had it not been for Giratina, Cyrus and buddies would've won.

Serious answer? same outcome because Giovanni's having a Charmander as a kid only happened in Origins which is non-canon.

In the games, he simply disbands TR and vanish without being overdramatic with charizard faggotory like in Origins.
