By providing „fake” postgame content to people who suck at competitive instead of actually fun stuff like additional regions, dungeons or non shit postgame battle facilities. If GameFreak removed IVs it’d become glaringly obvious to most casuals the game has absolutely no substance.

my competitive Ferrothron had 0 IV's and a speed reducing nature. Literally lowest possible base speed. It's Gyro Ball did MASSIVE fucking damage.
