>>41819897You literally said Incineroar is also hated as much as Primarina, so what tips the hate scales to her exactly?
The issue with both of them is excessive antropomorphism, in a way it's impossible not to imagine them as a character of one gender or another. Which caused aversion to both.
But anyway, people have the right to dislike something if it sways too much to one gender or another.
The comparison for Charizard and Meganium gets a little unfair if you consider a fire dragon is much easier to make it popular. It's a given recipe. Plus, the Gen 1 campaign with Charmander is easier than Gen 2 with Chikorita due to the latter having literally no advantage in any gym, combining with Gen 2's poor team building. It's more of a game design oversight.
Lastly, Charizard is undeniably a dragon monster and Meganium, a dinosaur monster. None explicitly suggest male or female, at leastin the games department.
