Meanwhile, Sword and Shield have dex cuts due to laziness on Gamefreak's part. They couldn't even be assed to port over all the KANTOOOOOOO Pokemon from the Let's Go games.

The reason most Pokemon were cut during gen 3 was because of connectivity issues between GB/GBC and GBA, but the pokemon that were not Available during R/S/E were (or atleast most of them) reintroduced during FRLG and completely transferable since their data was still in .
Is not the same as not implementing the data of the cut pokemon because of muh HQ animations and blatantly lying to your customers.

Ruby and Sapphire are literally the weakest entries amongst the 2D games.
If you didn't need some pokemon from Hoenn to complete your Pokedex, you could skip gen III entirely all the way up to gen V.
