A lot of pokemon have multiple bodies/separate consciousnesses, in gen 1 alone you have magneton, dugtrio, doduo and dodrio, exeggcute and exeggutor

I assumed battling is based on the function of natural battle tendencies of Pokemon. If a species has a natural instinct to stay together in certain numbers for survival tendencies, this would be mirrored exactly in sanctioned leagues.
Also it’s fiction, nobody gotta explain shit.

I thought the same with Dragpult two. Dugtrio can be connect, but we'll never know, and Dodrio is actually one pokemon with 3 heads. Exeggcute i agree, mut Exeggcutor is one poke too.

Parent pokemon taking care of their young who are not meant to fight by their own, althought dreepy is a pokemon on its own and can fight, so i will give you that one

the only reason falinks are together is because they like trust each other, there is no biological reason. At least exeggcute has to be in groups of 6 for evolution.

I love them, but I would have loved them even more if they had a pre-evo which is just a little Falink, and to evolve it you'd need to fill your party with 6 falinks, and survive a battle. The first Falink on the party becomes the leader and decides nature and ability.

It has to be because the boss has a unique deisgn (it's the one with the longer spike and armour on its underside), so the animation has to be long enough to circle back around to him to be a perfect loop.

The real question is how does a pokeball know what exactly a pokemon is to capture? How does it know to capture magneton's three bodies all at once, but only to capture one magnemite even if it is next to two others? If two falinks have their individual falinks mingle around, does the pokeball know which ones to capture and how? Or does it randomly pick the correct number from the crowd?
