Gym badges have lost all soul. Are you KIDDING ME with these names? It was bad in gen 6 too but god damn at least those badges were stylized

Nah, the fact they form a single thing is pretty cool.
I like kalos badges having a 3d effect too, but the unova badges were lame.

Gyms are probably designated 1st gyms, 2nd gyms etc. All 1st gyms have the same shape. Then you choose which second gym to take on. That's the only explanation I can think of

Minor league shit stays in minor league, they probably have their own minor league badge, Champion etc
This is the only thing that upsets me about the 18 gyms lore thing, why even mention it if it doesn't even make sense from a lore standapoint? Why would you and Hop directly jump into the major league? That makes no sense.
