I like Hidden Power gone, I like the options to fix most flaws of a pokemon and how fast it lets you build a team, I like that we got past gen 7's slew of legendaries/tapus/ultra beasts to go back to normal pokemon fighting each-other.

Between the mints, vitamins, absurd leveling from EXP candy, hyper training, infinite move reminder, and transferrable egg moves, my whole team was made ready for competitive in like half a day.

Only gripe is the regression on resetting EVs. The fact we still have to sit there shoving friendship berries down their throats to undo what inevitably happens from using them ingame at all in 2019 is baffling.

I don't mind this, but the fact that you can't plant berries just makes it more tedious.

A mixed bag, mostly bad. There are merits to removing Return and Pursuit but in particular for Return it doesn't outweight the downsides. And there was no reason at all to remove Refresh and Signal Beam.

Great, but Dynamax is total cancer and they didn't make any item that could counter Knock Off, which was balanced around the presence of Mega Stones and Z Crystal, to compensate.
