This, along with PC/Leveling/REs/Bike+Surf are all super great.
Also I was impressed that the fast travel to and from any of the Wild Area fly points have no loading screen. If I want to teleport across the map in most of my other fast-travel accessible games I've played recently, I'd have to wait for loading times. (XC2 really ticked me off with this)
SwSh actually got this right.

alright I just pulled out my 3ds and timed it on my version of UM
going through the door, walking to the PC, turning right around, going back to the door, and getting back on your tauros takes 9.5 seconds
I was a bit off but those 9.5 seconds are saved every time you want to use your PC while breeding which definitely adds up over time

That anon was me, what I mean by it having a diminished value is that there is no longer any reason to hunt for a mon you want. You can pick up any Pokemon of that type and make it artificially perfect which diminishes the value of getting it be with the nature, ability, etc you want. Like I said it's good for competitive but that's it.

Maybe people would be inclined to do raids with others if there was an actual matchmaking system rather than the pants on head retarded way they decided to do it. Having to add people and hoping someone's on when you are that's also willing to grind out raids isn't an efficient way of getting candies.
Plus, you can still only level one mon at a time with candies. Comparing that to Gen 6 and 7 where you can get an entire party up to 50 within 20-30 minutes of fighting Blisseys, it's no contest.

For example, I wanted a Modest Inteleon, so I had to breed my sobble until I got one that was Modest, and then, bred that one a few times till I had one with Perfect IVs in the stats I need it perfect. It was significantly faster than usual but still wasn't a "Injecting tier" brainless ordeal. Even the Nature changing mints and Ability Capsules aren't perfect since they can't give you Hidden Abilities and they're 50 BPs, thus nothing something you should waste willy nilly.

And thank god it's like that now! But SwoShi did add some new steps that I appreciate, such as the easy-ass money farming, the ability to feed a monster all vitamins and candies required in one go, the Box that can be opened in all areas and so on.

QoL features are never unimportant , but in a game like Pokemon where the gameplay loop is mostly autistic bean-counting QoL is everything.

Pokepelago was slow, but automatic and could do 18 at once.
Festival plaza was pretty good but if you didn't collect the currency from those collaborative missions, it was pretty hard

You can check the ranking before you join it anon. Try playing the game instead of shitposting. And even lower than 5 star raids get you candies that can get Pokemon to lv50 incredibly quick anyway.

This one is a nice QoL too.

Overall, I feel like you're overstating about the old games being unplayable now. The QoL are, of course, really appreciated, but don't have the same impact as unlimited items in the bag, unlimited TMs or even the removal of HMs imo.
