>>41844241It grants 50 extra stats instead of 100. Buff the base forms of the Pokémon with shitty megas to catchup and leave the good megas with the 50 stat nerf
Make them use the pre and post transformation more, more megas like Sharpedo (gets speed boost then megas and Strong Jaws), Sableye (gets prankster to Magic Bounce) and Slowbro (Abuses regenerator for as long as it can, checking mons as it normally would, until it thinks it can stay in, and goes mega to set up). I like the risk reward that Gengar did in gen 6 by losing levitate but the reward on shadow tag is too much. Same with Salamence, Mawile and Gyarados pre intimidate
Less boring shit like Tyranitar (same shit but stats bigger) or Lopunny (the earlier you mega evolve the better).
The megas should not make the original completely obsolete, they should go more on the route of Garchomp (completely different roles and viability, but MGarchomp was meh), Latias (again very different roles, but both ended up being very viable), and Gyarados (You could see just as often Normal Gyarados as Mega Gyarados in gen 7)
Finally, give more mons megas. Even if every mega evolution was perfectly balanced, you still have to give one spot in your 6 member team to a Pokemon from a very small list.
