Also FUCK SwSh for not having important NPCs that cover all 18 types again. I know there’s some random gym challengers but I don’t think they make up all 18 types completely.

Pokémon holding a mega stone or z-stone cannot dynamax.
If your team contains both a mega stone holder and a z-stone holder, none of your pokémon can dynamax.
Your opponent is informed before the battle whether or not you can dynamax.

It wouldn't be balanced but it would be a less shit way of handling the mechanics.

Megas get a rebalance nerfing the stronger ones and buffing the weaker ones.

G-max becomes functionally megas.

Dynamax gets removed entirely.

Pokemon can only hold Z crystals that correspond to their types.
