Back then I loved the 3 Legendary Beasts for what they were. Mysterious, powerful and extremely rare Pokemon. The roaming mechanic was kind of obnoxious but it was exhilarating to find one of them in the wild. If you managed to capture one of them, it made you feel like a god.
What are the new dogs? Mysterious, powerful and extremely rare Pokémon. The problem is that they are so strong they got banished to the end of the post-game. It's such a wasted opportunity to have Pokémon like these two, with the same feeling as the old beasts, just to lock them out of the game until it's practically finished (at least for casual players and most kids).
