So this game has NO free sweets? You just have to rely on pure dumb luck each time to get a sweet, even with the Max Raid exploit? Who the hell thought this was a good idea?

Issue is the randomness. There is no guarantee you'll get a sweet. Why couldn't GameFreak make the first battle give you a sweet guaranteed, or have Hop babble on about how the Cafe gave him two free samples and he's sharing one with you?

They're exaggerating then, I got it from the cafe in Motostoke when I beat the barista guy. He gave me a star sweet. I know the sprite looked like a little star from Paper Mario but with no eyes.

This is the general table.
But as >>41850588 has shown. People have been getting ribbon and star sweets. In page 376 it says that star and ribbon are rewards from the cafe too.

Yep, I don't believe this. I have been getting all sweets except for star/ribbon and it's been three weeks now. I can guess that they will be event reward from cafe in the future.

Holy shit fuck this shit. I finally have been able to evolve an Alcremie of every color and even that took forever, but even then, I ONLY EVER GET STRAWBERRY OR FLOWER SWEETS. I never ever get a single other sweet.

I just wanted a fucking Berry Sweet for my Mint Alcremie. Why the fuck is it so impossibly rare? Anyone else experience this? Or did you have your own 1-2 sweets that only would show up for you?

Not him but I fight in all 3 Battle Cafes every day since release (Maybe missed 2-3 days), and in total I've gotten like 8 Strawberry Sweets and 3 Flower Sweets and 75 Exp. Candy M's.
So...I think it's a case of the rarity being different cartridge to cartridge. Does this make sense to anyone else?

Definitely, it'd be an incentive to encourage trading between different games. It's the Vivillon of this gen. I remember TLoZ: Spirit Tracks doing the same thing and being sad I couldn't get the train parts I wanted.

there are 3 battle cafes in the region. i don't know what the precise chances are for any given sweet but, given the number of possible rewards, it must be low. still, if you hit all three every day for a week or so, you'll get what you need. i know i have several of each type. i'm not sure if i am crazy enough to try for a complete array of Alcremie--that's 63 variations total, needing 9 of each sweet to complete.

That's really weird, the table that the anon above posted impies that there's a wide variety and its just up to RNG. If it's exclusive to different cartridges then that's some total BS.
We'd have to collect what sweets that a lot of people get.
