Anyone have some advice for trying to create a trick room ditto raid? I've been doing the date trick on the den and going after the 5 stars, but haven't gotten one with low speed IVs. Is it just a matter of luck? Or is there a way to game the system?

Well the chances of getting a 0 speed Ditto are pretty low because you need speed to not be one of the maxed out IVs, about 33% chance, then you need it to be at 0 which is 1 chance out of 32. That's roughly one every hundred Ditto.If you're only looking for the 0 speed IV you'd have a better chance with a bog standard wild Ditto.

look at the FAQ in the OP. Catch rates for non-event gmax mon when you're not the host are about 3%. You can increase that with balls like repeat, ultra, dusk, etc. But it's still not great.

Other than the game exclusive ones, isn't it just easier for everyone to date scum their own gmaxes instead of dealing with the shitty catch rates? You're always going to find people online to help you with them searching publicly. It seems like the only reason to join these raids is if they're exclusive to other games, great IVs, or shiny

I started resetting for gmaxes two days ago, other than an appletun that took until late june, I've gotten all of them except grimmsnarl, which I'll get today. It takes about 15-20 minutes at most to get whichever you want. The candies are a legit reason in favor, though.

That's what I first suggested, actually closing and reopening the game. Other anon was talking about just putting the game to sleep and then starting it back up in battle and that didn't work for me when I tried. Either way it's pretty quick to just close the software and start it up again so I don't care.

Honestly I lucked out with randoms yesterday after I finished my frog giveaway and hat got in the ball a healball to be exact., spent all day farming mints and 2 caps to correct it, sadly too fast for trick room at 16 ivs.

I went all the way to April to find an anticipation hat and was mid August 21 when I gave up.

I guess I got good karma thanks to giving away my frogs.
