I hate that people keep pointing fingers at ONLY Gamefreak for how fucking horribly Sword and Shield turned out. Yes it is still partially Gamefreak’s fault, but the real fucking destroyer of these games and the future of the franchise is Ishihara of TPCI. It’s almost entirely his fault for what has and will become of this franchise. He’s essentially the one pulling all of the strings and Gamefreak is just a puppet to him that he has complete control over. Gamefreak at least tries to pretend they care about us, but Ishihara is a soulless greedy corporate scumbag, who, like the rest of our world, is fucking corrupted by capitalism and doesn’t give a shit about the fans of the franchise. Every subsequent game at this point will be nothing more than a mindless cash grab and Ishihara will be literally satisfied with making just one (1) and only one (1) dollar. He will literally shit on a plate and distribute it out to the world, and even if he only makes a single dollar off of it he will still be happy because it made money in some way and will continue to release more piles of shit on a plate, except the piles will get smaller, will smell worse, and will be crustier than the last with zero regard for anyone else. If you really want someone to blame for all of this, it’s him. Fuck Ishihara. This is unfortunately the shitty capitalist world we live in now folks. Welcome to hell.
