If Gamefreak ever officially makes an MMO, it wont have every pokemon in it.

We don't need the fandom tainted by MMOfags in addition to the extremely poor hygiene and appearance issues most of its members already have

Why make an mmo when you can get only 1 region for 40-60 and a complete region rehash for 40-60 more bucks each year?

Though maybe it would be better as Pokemon go proved to make more money than the games do by dad

MMOs aren't as profitable anymore.
It's mobile games, especially gacha, that bring in the big bucks. New game development in Japan is either on mobile or the newest consoles.

Doesn't GO have the 3 guilds, PvP battles, raids, a focus on maximizing dps, and all the usual trappings of an mmo? The only difference about this mmo from others is that navigating the world requires you to walk around irl instead of sitting in front of PC all day.

They killed pokemon brick bronze. The rotom encounter was so cool, why cant gamefreak be as inventive. And you could pick from all the starters

A Pokemon MMO will be immediately swarmed by tryhards hijacking the entire game with tournament-level movesets and locking out every other player who just want to have an adventure in the Pokemon world and enjoying themselves. It wouldn't be any fun.
