>>41873556There is no compelling reason to purchase SwSh if you only want to play online battles. Making a competitive team is still pretty fucking miserable, though Sword and Shield mercifully cut down a lot of the tedious grinding and RNG. Not to mention the removal of half the dex, megas, z-moves and the new horrible meta ruining bullshit like Fishious Rend, Gorilla Tactics, and Dynamax makes this the most limited and unfun competitive in years.
I was already just using Showdown for versus play because it's just a better experience, and now it's not just a hundred times better, it's a thousand.
