Cloyster and barbaracle are both way better as water-type shell smashers than blastoise. If it still had its mega that would be a different story perhaps but alas megas have been culled

Cloyster has no superior standing over Blastoise in any category besides having marginally higher Atk and being able to take physical hits better, in every other regard it's inferior (or tied, in the case of SpAtk), especially movepool-wise where Blastoise has absolutely godlike coverage.
