It doesn't. It makes the games way worse because now we're dealing with Psychic and Dragon dominance all over again.

Psychic would sure get buffed but no be the same broken shit as it was in Gen 1.
The only ghost Pokemon in Gen 1 was part poison and bugs couldn't do a shit because mons like Pinsir didn't have a great movepool. Mons like Volcarona would get a spotlight on dealing with Psychic.
Dragon would get overpowered as it was tho. Also, defensive Normal and Ghost mons would get the spotlight as the best defensive typing.
