>>41881520I agree, Creatures have done literally nothing wrong in this scenario. Gamefreak give them the brief on what models need to be made, and Creatures makes them. Gamefreak are the one who actually create the animations, so it’s 100% on them for claiming they were cutting stuff to spend more time on the animations and that the models needed to be remade from scratch when those were blatant lies. Gamefreak shouldn’t lie to consumers in the first place, but they wouldn’t have been in the position to make those false claims if TPC weren’t the omega Jews they are. The brand won’t die if there isn’t a Pokémon game out every year. If they’re THAT desperate though and absolutely MUST have yearly games, they could have spinoffs that don’t suck ass made for Gamefreak’s off years, or have multiple studios working on the games like most other yearly franchises do, but of course that would cost more so they won’t do it even though their profit at the end of the day would be negligibly affected.
Creatures have fulfilled their part of the agreement with Gamefreak completely and have gotten tons of shit from fans due to Gamefreak’s false claims regarding models and animations in press for the games, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they’re fed up with GF and are refusing to work with them if they continue on their current course. I’d be pretty mad if my company made futureproofed models for a game studio to use in their upcoming games, only for them to outright lie in press and say the models weren’t good enough and needed to be remade in an effort to shift the blame for their own shitty policy change (that they only changed so they could charge more money on a periphery service) while still using those models in their game like nothing happened.
