Contrary to these Pokemon is primarly a game series. You would be right to expect good Star Wars movies and good Marvel comics, after all it's the core of the series, the rest is just bonus.

Pokemon fans seem to be under the delusion that Game Freak/TPC just have all this money sitting in Scrooge McDuck style vault; no, they've spent most of it already improving and maintaining the franchise

Games haven't been Pokemon's "core" in ages. The primary product is merchandise, not games. Everything else, including the games, is just an ad for merchandise and trading cards.

The part that kills Dexcels the most is how they don't even have a set amount of things they want. They say their demand is 890 when it's really 151+111.25x (x=region number). Their demands endlessly rise with both mons and features they don't care until Gamefreak has to say no somewhere. Then Pokemon are count as content

What bothers me more is it feels like that /vp/ or critics are on an island when it comes to criticism. I don't see gamers, normies who care about standards in other games complaining, not because there's a double standard, but because they simply don't care or like Pokemon.
