>>41886196I'm gonna include remakes and shit. If you don't like it, whatever. It's also incredibly subjective because it's determined by my enjoyment of the generation as a whole.
>Gen 4.The combo of Platinum + HGSS + Sky is unbeatable. 4th gen was bliss. So much stuff to do. If I had to eliminate all gens of Pokémon BUT one, i'd definitely pick 4th gen. Sinnoh+Johto+Kanto+that Isekai feely shit was so much fun.
>Gen 5.I honestly didn't give a shit about Black&White but BW2 (and Challenge Mode) are so good.
>Gen 3.Emerald is one of my favorites to this day. The Battle Frontier is ruthless and some of the gym leaders felt tough as shit when I was a kid. I also found the gen 1 remakes quite enjoyable.
>Gen 6Severely underrated generation. I honestly really liked the Mega Evolutions. ORAS was quite underwhelming but the Megas turned the entire competitive scheme around.
>Gen 1I gotta be honest. Replaying the old games knowing how fucking broken were it's absolutely hilarious. You can glitch the fuck out of it, you can avoid gyms and get powerful Pokémon if you know where you're going. You can get Mew, the absolute best HM slave ever created.
>Gen 8Yeah yeah, the Megas got snapped, half the Pokemon got snapped. There's so much wrong in these games, but on the other hand there's a lot of improvement. I can see myself trying to complete the Pokédex, because I don't need 32 other games to complete it this time. Dynamax is a shit mechanic, though.
>Gen 2The original masterpiece. GSC are absolute gems, now forgotten because of the remakes. This one being in the bottom is REALLY unfair, because before the remakes I'd put Gen 2 in top place every day of the week. But nowadays, I can't see myself playing GSC. I'd just play the remakes. It's not like FRLG remakes because there's so much weird shit you can do in RBY that you can't do in the remakes.
>Gen 7I cannot even begin to explain how much I hated this generation. Handholding+Z Moves. Im out of chars. Fuck Gen 7
