Ditto went from being the absolute worst fully evolved Pokemon in Gens 1-4 to being perhaps the best Pokemon in Gen 8. Say something nice about it.

Yeah it can pretty effectively counter and waste the three turns of your opponent's dynamax which is crippling. Idk I'm not a competitivefag either that's just what I've heard.

Dynamax gyara gets 3 speed boosts from airmax 3 attack boosts from moxie. Ditto comes in after dynamax is over copies Stat changes outspeeds with scarf ohkoes and dynamaxes next turn to sweep your team. It's one of the few answers to boosted dyna Pokémon like togekiss and gyara

Ditto is what happens when a meta is too new and the variables are too many to form coherent strategies.
As of right now any pokemon can dynamax and we still don't know how to properly check or counter 400 different possibilities per match, so what people do is try to match whatever their opponent throws at them

The problem is though there is no answer to a +3 125 base attack Pokémon killing your team left and right with flying type moves and can out speed the entire meta after two speed boosts. When dyna goes eventually I think ditto will be used less, even if at all.
