No. Thought they would finally go somewhere with the presentation Gen 7 had, but it still feels incredibly condensed and empty without leaving much to the imagination. I'd rather have the small sprite based towns where I can imagine myself that they're big bustling cities or larger homely villages, than big cities that are empty as fuck and devoid of life where I'm forced to just reconcile that that's the way it is.
It doesn't help that EVERYTHING is closed off, there's portions of Motostoke you can see from the Gym, can't go back there. At least 6 houses you can see behind the gym in Turrfield, can't go there. Walksways and castles you can walk past in Hammerlocke, can't go there. Houses you can see in Ballonlea, can't go there. Houses you walk past in Spikemuth, can't go in them. There's zero exploration what so fucking ever, the city that's based on fucking LONDON has nothing in it. Just the same salon, boutique and hotel as every other single fucking town You can see more houses and landmarks, but guess fucking what Anon? You can't fucking go there!
Why bother creating the largest and most real looking cities yet when you can't even be bothered to fucking put shit IN THEM, what is the fucking point? And don't even get me fucking STARTED on the routes and wild area, I could rant about how fucking devoid of life and exploration those shitstains are for fucking days.
Literally the most empty region yet, towns and routes aren't towns and routes, they're set pieces, all made so you can enter a Gym and get to the next without it just being a white room. Though honestly, if they had gone with that, I doubt anyone would have a fucking problem with it, slap a Pokemon label on something and you can sell millions of copies of a fucking walking simulator.
FUCK.
