The only raids people are going to waste their time on are Gmax and Ditto raids. Joining raids is too unreliable and too easy to solo for a lv 100 mon for most people to bother with anything else

I join for the candy more than the ‘mons themselves, so I don’t really care if I catch them or not and join as many as I can.
anyway, I get plenty of players joining 5-star g-max raids I’ve initiated, and I tend to trade what I catch anyway since I’m sitting on dozens of G-max Drednaws and Snorlaxes and Sandacondas, and a few G-Max Butterfrees.

Level 100 mons really can carry 5 star all by yourself, but I will join these raids for hidden abilities or just if it’s one I like. I think it’s mostly good (the catch rate barely fails for non Gmax I don’t know what you’re all on about), but Gamefreak’s problem this gen is managing players makes boredom and adults with ADD are the ones who won’t click on the stamps because they think they’ve got better things to do in game. The rewards are a good start but the game should incentivize you a lot more to participate with other players even after you’ve gotten most of what you need in postgame.

I would be doing it, but I can only connect to raids like 30% of the time, so at this point I don't even bother trying as 5 star raids aren't that hard to solo

Yes. The level 100 doesn't even need to be a legendary. I solo most raids with ttar and gyarados. They do a lot of damage even when the boss's shield is up. I'd say I have a 95% win rate with them.

I've noticed the only gmaxes that get people to join are the non-event ones. When I'm doing a gmax corviknight, centiskorch, or snorlax raid I can never get anyone to join. But for kingler and appletun it filled up in fucking seconds.

I join raids from randos, but only to make my own 5 star raids I can't be fucked doing despawn. Every time you join someone's raid and they win, one of your red dens despawns. I use that to get rid of 5 star GMax Snorlax (two sets of like 5 shields each and two AOE moves with a like 10% chance of catching the damn thing after all that) and other shit I can't be fucked dealing with. It doesn't work on purple beams though, so you'll need to take care of those yourself. Level 100 Eternatus takes down most shit unless you get particularly fucked by AI, like getting Solrock, Wobbuffett and Eevee in the same raid.

You can turn animations off in your game, but I think all online raids have them turned on. Maybe if all players had animations off then they would be off, but I have yet to see an online raid even with 2 people that didn't have animations.

I wish the menu would show what the raid stars are before I even need to click the raid, I usually skim through raids unless I see a hard one like Flygon/Galvantula/Frosmoth, but I'm sure in doing so I skipped a ton of 5 star raids that are kicking the asses of people without a lv100 yet.

Why is it when I try to join most random raids I get the there's no one on the other end message?
Why do stamps for raids that are no longer accepting participants show up in the listings?

I'm joining raids constantly when I don't feel like clearing out my own dens to force them to reset. Or just because I feel like joining other raids thinking "hey, that person probably just wants to chase that thing out of the den, FREE XP CANDIES AND TRs!"

I've found the odds of getting other participants increase dramatically if you disconnect then reconnect before trying to invite others.

Typically when I host a raid I won't ready up until either it's all filled out or until about 30 seconds after anyone who has come to join readies up. This is because I want to see if anyone else is going to show up, or if I think we would need more players to actually be able to win.

If I'm joining a raid I won't ready up until the 30 second mark or until the host readies up. This is to not make the host feel pressured to start the raid if they want to wait for more participants and to make sure I'm not playing with trolls who switch to a shit mon before readying up.

I must've joined at least 50 g-max snorlax raids by now. I just like joining those to watch the Malamar I specifically trained for those raids tank everything.
It's kind of a pain when I have to be the one to dynamax though when I join to play support.

4 Stars is Massively powerful
5 Stars is Incredibly powerful

Don't have any on hand and don't see them often but I think 1 Star is powerful Pokémon and 2 Stars is somewhat powerful.
