Marill and Azumarill arbitrarily getting retconned to a fairy mon will always bug me. But I guess if it's not a pikaclone then the fairy typing could mean it's a Jigglypuff clone

What's supposed to be the relation between being part fairy and not being a pikaclone? Dedenne is Fairy and a pikaclone, Mimikyu is fairy and not even electric and still is a pikaclone too

Marill was the OG Pika clone before they decided that all Pika clones needed to be electric rodents.

Mimikyu isn't a Pika clone in the same way the rest are where they are just species that happen to resemble Pikachu. The point of Mimikyu is that its pretending to be a Pika clone in hopes that someone will love it. I'd classify it as more of a subversion than a regular Pika clone

It's more because Jiggly and Marill are both fat ball-shaped mons that evolve into a rabbit-looking mon and they also both got a pointless prevo in the immediate following generation. Since there aren't any other Pokemon like that it's probably just a coincidence. But it's an interesting coincidence nonetheless.
