I made a starter fakemon thread yesterday and I listened to your guys' criticisms. The fire mouse is a little weird but ill work on him so more. Just wanted some more opinions for these guys. also general fakemon thread I guess.

If instead of generic leaves in top there would be something like the leaves of a coconit tree or stuff like that it would be more original I guess
Only the leaves though
The mouse is worse than the bat
Candle and mouse are not a good match

Water frigate bird is pretty based, I'd pick it.
Fire hamster is pretty good too but I don't like the Grass, it just looks like a bean with legs.

The design for the grass starter has been tough for me to settle down on. I think I know how I want the final stage to look, but as for the first one, I keep trying new things.

I like the crab too, most of the other ones you've shown. I remember you from that other thread though. Your stuff has come along, but I do think you should take at least the mouse back to the drawing board in some way. Elephant's fine, but he's not very interesting. Usually starters resemble a living animal, and in addition to being cartoony, also have some X-factor that sets them apart. Like Squirtle's tail, or Chikorita's head-leaf, or Froakie's bubbles. And that extra thing usually ties in to the evolution line, but with the elephant, I don't see anything that stands out other than "a cutely-drawn elephant". The X-factor also usually ties in to something cultural, or the type

its a bit sad to see the bat design scrapped, but the mouse is much better. the elephant is also better, but since it doesn't have anything to stand out (it stood out before since it was standing, but that was shit) maybe add the mohawk back in?
