Keldeo is really emblematic of why water offense is "cucked". Like Greninja, it has little-no defensive value. It has a better physical movepool than a special one, but despite its high stats, it spread favors special attacking. It has great bulk for an offensive Pokemon that is held back by a mediocre defensive typing.
Manaphy is similar: high BST, now useless ability and bad spread (especially speed) and low BP coverage moves make it outclassed by other waters offensively and defensively.
