Which Gen 1 Pokemon have never been decent in OU or Doubles/VGC for any gen? Just wondering which of them haven't had a chance to shine yet.

I don't think Venomoth has ever been very useful. Surprisingly, Butterfree is actually pretty good in VGC right now.

Yeah, that's part of it. Gmax move is useful, accurate Sleep Powder with Compound Eyes, Rage Powder for drawing attacks like Follow Me. Butterfree seems to be a solid support Pokemon this gen.

Lee always had the better moveset and stat distributions. High Jump Kick makes it more viable than most trashmon alone.
