You CAN get egg moves for gigantamax pokemon. In daycare, put G-max pokemon and same species pokemon with egg moves. G-max Pokemon will learn those moves.

You can get egg moves on G-Max Pokemon though. You pass egg-moves down in the Day Care by putting two Pokémon of the same species, they don’t even have to be opposite genders or need to breed. Also G-Max Hatterene is objectively better than regular Hatterene since its Max Move doesn’t replace Psychic Terrain and has an additional confusion chance. Hatterene doesn’t even need Misty Terrain since it already has Magic Bounce. And it’s also a common Trick Room user so it needs 0 Speed IVs.
