Did the raid exploit get fixed or am I just doing it wrong?

All that happens is the beam of light disappears and I can get 50 watts from the den. Does it only work if you're connected to the internet?

sorry if this is a dumbass question but after scumming for a specific raid, how to I set the date of my switch back to the correct date without the game noticing? I tried setting it back in the "looking for participants" screen after I was done but the game still noticed and I couldn't rematch the cafés

Why not try the wifi general? This is more for organizing and participating in raids. If you have any shield-exclusive raids you need, we could probably help you with that, but if you just need to touch trade or something you should probably ask in wifi.

Also for those wondering it's a solid defensive Drednaw. It's Careful with 31/x/31/x/31/31. I'm gonna give it an ability cap for Strong Jaw and try to make use of it's g-max form. Thanks Vort! If I join again it's because I'm trying to get one in a slightly less ugly ball.

The problem is also that while you might be able to predict the next shiny seed, you wont be able to tell how many stars or what pokemon roll you get (as those dont depend on the seed).

and "stripping" here means you put the pokemons values in (ivs, nature, ability, ideally EC and PID, but idt you can get those without pkhex) and you can calculate what the seed was at that time. One den reset -> seed goes up by one, so you can determine when the shiny seed happens.

I guess it would only be good to tell you when you should mb accept the shitmon raid because it is shiny?

The host can let the lobby fill up and start the raid, then reset once they're in the raid. You can also even catch the Pokemon. As long as you don't save, the raid will still be there when you reseyt.

I've personally made it a thing to reset for one MB Hatterene Gmax a night. I don't do it every night, but on the nights I do, it takes maybe a hours usually.
I think I get unnaturally blessed with HAs thought since 75% of my Hatts end up with HA, but I've heard horror stories of 10+ resets without MB.

Catch is guaranteed for any raid in which you used a Wishing Piece to create the raid, otherwise disable auto save and reset if you fail to catch any of the random generated ones.

Whats the opinion on abusing rng to get shiny raids in here?

Basically letting someone with cfw catch a raid pokemon, tell you the seed, tell you how often you have to reset for a shiny seed and then savin the game 1-2 resets before the shiny seed until you get the pokemon you want? Is that still cheating?

the mechanics behind it have been known for roughly 1-2 weeks now, but not much of it has been made public.

The gist however is that the seed advances one frame at a time everytime you change the date, the seed determines if a pokemon is shiny (as well as its stats), but how many stars the raid has and what pokemon is in it is not determined by the seed.

That allows you to reroll for a seed until it is shiny and then use standard softreset to reset the starcount + pokemon until you get the one you want.

So for example if you want a shiny gengar the chance rn is 1/4096 to get it shiny and maybe 1/60 to get a gengar, so overall ~ 1/245760 to get shiny gengar + seed. Which means on average almost 250.000 resets.

If however you only have to reset until you get a shiny seed that's 1/4096 chance, follow by soft resetting until you get gegnar which is a separat 1/60 chance. that on average is 4.200 resets, so your chances are a lot more sane. And if you know someone with cfw they can tell you the exact number of date resets you'll need.

well injecting would be just replacing the seed with what you want, this just tells you when you'd have to stop resetting to get a shiny seed. This is more "pure" and "not actually cheating".
