Fennekin. It's my favorite not because it evolves into waifubait (although that certainly helps), but because it's the cutest fox Pokemon. It's tough for me to pick between it and Eevee, but if I'm not taking evolution lines into account, Fennekin wins hands-down. I really like foxes and Fennekin is an absolutely adorable one. Plus, it was my starter in Kalos and, as a result, the first Pokemon I had on a non-emulated game (I'd been emulating Pokemon for years starting with gen 4 before I actually bought a 3DS).

There's just something really appealing about Mawile's design, I'm a bit sad she isn't viable this gen without her mega but that doesn't stop me using her. Also she's cute!

I've always been into computers and I loved Porygon as a kid because of that, when Gold & Silver came out I was super happy that they gave Porygon an evolution and I thought it was amazing how it turned into a Porygon but smooth, just how computer graphics were getting much better at the time. I was never much of a fan of Porygon-Z as I think it doesn't really follow the same concept of evolving CG technology. When Eviolite was added I was super happy, and he's been a reliable stall pal ever since.

The moment I saw her in the trailer I got extremely excited, the minute after I finished watching her reveal I drew her a shitton. Her design is absolutely peak in my eyes, I really enjoy the way whipped cream looks in art and the way it's used in this design is super clever to me
I really relate to her visuals too in a sense that I really enjoy the cute, dreamy and sweet factor, it's something I aim for with my own fashion choices and Alcremie really does it well. Madoka Magica is also my favorite anime and she reminds me of a witch that could be on there (ex. Charlotte), especially with her Gigantamax form, and considering that Nagisa Momoe is my favorite character of all time this Pokémon really fits her sort of vibe as well. I love her so much

That knocks off three essentials.
I like having a full squadron of possible super effectives but Gardevoir is fucking OP with a counter to dragon, rock and a knife to stab every type in the game several times and have them run the risk of going braindead and injuring themselves.
No need to hunt for a fairy type, just look for any of the pokemon in the Ralts line and evolve them into Gardevoir. They'll get STABs for fairy attacks.

Gumshoos will always be my favourite. I love reading true crime and criminal psychology. I always wanted to be a detective so being able to live out that fantasy through a literal detective pokemon is awesome.

There's a love tiny things I love about the Gumshoos line.
>yungoos is ravenous and full of energy
>gumshoos is a more patient and quiet old man detective
>his hair is supposed to be a nod to old detective hat motif in old crime movies
>his hair tufts are a nod to the detective trench coat

Gumshoos was also the pokemon to finish up the Alola champion for me and was my starter for S/M

First game was Pearl, loved it until i decided to slather honey on a tree. Came back and saw Pachi. Instantly fell in love. Helped me tremendously in the fights to come and have always loved to use it in subsequent playthroughs.

Been in love with both Zigzagoon and Linoone since I was a wee lad. The simple design themes, how well they incorporate those motifs into every part of their designs from visuals to behaviour and the little quirks they have are all super endearing to me and I adore how their respective zig-zag/straight line gimmicks can both be used to create fun situations giving them both a similar goofy appeal while still being totally different to each other. The two just perfectly complement each other while standing on their own and are, to me, the perfect line. Plus whether it's Pickup, HMs, filling in a small niche with their wide movepool or sweeping with BellyDrum/Gluttony/ESpeed I always enjoy having one on a team.
