Basically they'd have to bump it up to a T rating which would activately cut into profit margins, but I wonder by exactly how much?

After all, parents buy their kids M rated games constantly. Still would be an unnecessary risk on GF and TPC's part.

In modern regions the champion and even trainers gain reputation for doing deeds, battles, gyms and other side missions, so why can't we have beaten gym leaders follow us? Other trainers follow us? And so so and be an expansion of Hoenn's comms device?
