Sure, but i think volcarona's design and concept is unique and interesting compared to the other moths, whereas nickit/thievul don't have much separating or distinguishing them from all the other foxes. they're bland basic fox that steals things. if they weren't so forgettable i wouldn't have any issue with them being foxes

bland and boring moth pokemon should get the same criticism

Thievul is pretty different from the rest of them. Two are bipedal while ninetales is well a nine tailed fox. No Pokemon has that sort of fancy thief concept either.

All gen 8 pokemon with a gmax are intentionally made incomplete, to force their gmaxes to be "required" and not feel forced, retroactively "justifying" their existance so shills can use it as a defense. Notice how no gen 6 pokemon had a mega in XY's debut, and still only got Mega Diancie, because they were made complete and didn't shill a new gimmick by intentionally gimping the new designs.

That's the problem. Gen 5 is supposed to be all new and stuff which is why there was no cross evolution. The fact that they made them too alike is the problem. They should have save Alomomola for gen 6 and let Luvdisc evolve into it.
