In a perfect world USUM would have replaced SM and be praised as a perfect farewell to the handheld. I played USUM first and had no idea why you retards shit on it, then i went back and played SM and it all clicked.
But why would they want to set standards for themselves? If they keep the bar low and in a year's time fix the problems they almost double their profits. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to be on the design team of gamefreak. Profit is king. Pride in a product would be almost nonexistent stemming from how they've set up their tcg, plush toys, anime etc they've bound their hands to impossible deadlines. Which is probably why we all go on about SOUL vs SOULLESS. Its all soulless shit because its one intent is profit, and then profit again in a year's time. But some of the creative team give a shit, i mean, i hope.
Anyway USUM was great. And smart people are waiting for SwSh 2. Fight me faggots.
