The Wild Area is basically all the side areas in routes like the Moor of Iccirus, Desert Resort, Village Bridge, Undella Bay, etc stitched together in a poor attempt to make an open world. If Gamefreak smartened up, they would have made Galar woth 30 large routes, with the Wild Area spread out and themed depending on where in the region the route is. Like Unova.
